Nathan Karstulovich is a teacher and author in Ontario Canada. He has been teaching for thirteen years and has taught Literacy in grade three through grade eight. Nathan is a literacy and numeracy leader within his school and holds a position on his school improvement team. He has also served as teacher-librarian and a mentor to new teachers. Over the past five years he has presented professional development workshops and had his classroom practices profiled across his local school district.

The TEEC system is a series of reading and writing lessons and templates that help students become better readers and writers. The scaffolded teaching method allows students to see success quickly by focusing on a consistent and concise writing format. It also improves reading comprehension by allowing students to focus on what is important in their reading and allowing those students to transfer what they know into written answers easily.
